RASTAURACIJA SVODA U CRKVI SV. KRIŽA

Nakon dolaska na službu u Ogulin, župnik Josip Štefančić, kao što su to činili i župnici prije njega, veliku pozornost posvetio je crkvi sv. Križa.

Tako su promijenjeni prozori na crkvi, koji su, vjeruje se, postavljeni 1926. godine i bili dotrajali. Stavljeni su novi, istovjetni originalnim, iz vremena građanja crkve. Taj je zahvat stajao 300 tisuća kuna a financirali su ga Župa i Grad.
Za vrijeme župnika Šporčića obnovljena je fasada ali već sada je u vrlo lošem stanju, te ju je župnik Štefančić odlučio obnoviti. No iz Ministarstva kulture predložili su da taj posao može pričekati, te da se više pozornosti obrati unutrašnjosti crkve, točnije slikama i freskama. I kada su počeli ispitivati svod iznad glavnog oltara, naišli su na čak četiri sloja s freskama. Skoro dva mjeseca trajali su restaurotorsko-konzervatorski radovi i jučer su konačno skinute skele. Radove su izvodile djelatnice slikarsko-konzervatorsko radionice „VUKSAN“, specijalizirane za poslove zaštite i očuvanja spomenika kulturne baštine. U Ogulinu su već pred dvije godine radili na dekorativnom osliku ulaznog prostora škole I.B. Mažuranić.
U crkvi Sv.Križa, bila riječ je o iznimno osjetljivom i složenom poslu, vrlo zahtjevnom. Poslu koji traži preciznost, točnost, stručnost i strpljenje. U našoj crkvi to će potrajati više godina. Poslove financira Župa a župnik Štefančić uspio je dobiti u tome i financijsku potporu Minstarstva kulture. O čemu se zapravo radi, odnosno kako su došli do prvog, originalnog oslika, pojasnio mi je vlasnik tvrtke VUKSAN, Josip Vuksan.

„Nakon prvog sondiranja krenuli smo u akciju da se vidi što je ispod prvog sloja žbuke. Otkrili smo prvi oslik, pa drugi, pa treći i konačno četvrti, onaj izvorni oslik.
U konzervatorskim restauratorskim radovima uspjeli smo uspjeli idetntificirati četiri slikana sloja. Dakle imamo taj prvi sloj koji je bio dekorativni a cijela priča je krenula od drugog sloja s anđelima i lentom, što je pronađeno i na povijesnim fotografijama. Ali kasnije tokom radova taj sloj nije pronađen. Stariji slojevi koji su pronađeni ispod tog sloja su jedan iluzionistički oltar s četiri evanđelista. Na sloju ispod toga, pronašli smo samo nekoliko fragmenata. Sondiranjem smo pronašli još jedan sloj, onaj izvorni na kome je bio Otac Bog, kruna i golubica. Kasnije u dogovoru s nadležnim konzervatorima i župnikom, odlučili smo ići u prezentaciju upravo tog izvornog sloja, jer smo zaključili da je najvredniji povijesno jer je najstariji, a i likovno. Taj sloj je vrlo dobro sačuvan“.

Sonja Kostelac, iz Konzervatorskog odjela u Karlovcu, koji nadzire ove poslove, kaže da se radi se o relativno maloj površini iznad glavnog oltara, ali tu su četiri sloja, koji su jedan po jedan skidani. Dakle, ista se je površina četiri puta tretirala, da bi se svaki od mlađih slojeva otkrio, snimio, i dokumentirao.
Zanimljivo je u svemu, zbog čega su se pri obnovi crkve u ranijim periodima, preslikavali oni stariji motivi. Recimo, prilikom obnove crkve 1900. godine, Oton Iveković, naš poznati slikar, te je godine na svodu svetišta naslikao prizor Našašće sv. Križa. Ta je slika uklonjena 1957. godine na preporuku ili zahtjev konzervatora. Koji je pravi razlog, teško je sada reči. Umjetnička vrijednost sigurno nije bila u pitanju. Crkva je temeljito obnovljena i 1926. godine. Osim obimnih građevinskih radova, crkvu je iznutra oslikao ruski izbjeglica, akademski slikar, Ilija Ahmetov. Sve su slike, osim onih na svodu, uklonjene 1957. godine. Pored motiva iz evanđelja, Ahmetov je napravio veliku sliku - „Krunidba kralja Tomislava“, koja se danas nalazi u vjeronaučnoj dvorani.
I da malo skratim. Prva, izvorna slika iznad glavnog oltara, za koju se pretpostavlja da je nastala prilikom gradnje crkve 1781-1785. godine, prekrećena je tri puta i nakon ove restauracije, ponovno je vidljiva. Radovi će se uz pomoć Ministarstva kulture i Župe sv. Križa, nastaviti i narednih godina.
