SMJENA VLASTI 2017. SJAŠI KURTA DA UZJAŠI MURTA
Točno na današnji dan, pred osam godina, do tada vladajući HDZ, bacio je koplje u trnje. Bitka za Grad je bila izgubljena, udobne fotelje navikle na „desne guze“, prepuštene su SDP-ovim „lijevim guzama“. Nama je, onako za utjehu, ostalo mandalo.
I preuzimanje fotelja, prošlo je mirno, uljudno, prijateljski. Onako, baš fino gospodski, u rukavicama. Možda je i bila neka pijanka kasnije, ne sjećam se. Sve je dakle tako lijepo počelo ali ubrzo je nestalo one početne mirnoće, uljudnosti, prijateljstva. Od svega, ostale su smo rukavice – boksačke.
Moram priznati da sam, usprkos godinama, ispao malo naivan.
K'o pravi bedak, nadao sam se tada, da će svi uprijeti snage i zajednički uložiti napore napredak grada.
No ispalo je po onoj narodnoj – na vrbi svirala.

U uredu gradonačelnika, danas je izvršena primopredaja vlasti.
Dužnost gradonačelnika, od Jure Turkovića - HDZ, preuzeo je Dalibor Domitrović - SDP. Ono što su nazočni novinari prvo primjetili, bilo je izostanak dosadašnjih dogradonačelnika Željka Stipetića i Tone Radočaja. su nazočni novi gradonačelnik Dalibor Domitrović, njegova zamjenica Ivana Salopek - Šumonja i zamjenci Danijel Vukelja i Neven Ivošević.
Gradonačelnik Turković čestitao je Domitroviću i njegovim zamjenicima na izbornoj pobjedi i zaželio im mnogo uspjeha u radu, u intreresu svih građana. U kratkom rezimeu Turković je pobrojao projekte koji su realizirani ili su u tijeku, izrazivši posebno zadovoljstvo što je u minule četiri godine, broj
zaposlenih porastao za oko 400 radnika. Naglasio je da je Ogulin grad prijatelj poduzetnika i izrazio nadu da će i nova vlast ići tim putrem. Kako glavni projekt koji je u tijeku, Turković je spomenuo izgradnju brane koja bi zaštitila Ogulin od poplava.
Projekt je "težak" 110 milijuna kuna a financiraju ga Hrvatske vode. Spomenuo je i da se u nastavak izgradnje kanalizacije i vodovodne mreže, planira uložiti 150 milijuna kuna. Većinu troškova i ovdje bi pokrile Hrvatske vode a Grad Ogulin sudjelovao bi s 7,5 posto. Turković je pobrojao još neke projekte koji su u tijeku ili su planirani, samo pitanje je kako to isfinancirati. Proračun je sve tanji a za lovu iz EU fondova, čeka se u redu. Novu vlast očito čeka težak posao.
Novi gradonačelnik Dalibor Domitrović, bio je kratak. Želja mu je između ostalog, naglasio je, zaustaviti odlazak mladih ljudi iz grada te stvoriti uvjete da bi se oni koji su otišli, mogli vratiti.
Domitrović se je požalio na činjenicu, da neki sada, nakon pobjede SDP-a, Ogulin proglašavaju "crvenim gradom".
Crveno je boja ljubavi, crvena je i zastava našega grada i ovdje nema mjesta nikakvoj ideologiji, bio je kategoričan.
