Sasvim je logično da i HDZ i SDP kuju planove što poslije izbora, jer očito je da se bez Mosta neće moći sastaviti Vlada. Bojim se da ćemo opet gledati isti film kao nakon prošlih izbora. O tome Petrov kaže: „ Kada je govorimo o suradnji s SDP-om, onda smo pitamo - na koji način možemo surađivati s Milanovićem koji je išao prevariti Most za prošle parlamentarne izbore. A i sada kako vidimo odabrao je taktiku gašenja bilo kakvih odnosa s Mostom, jer mu tako odgovara.“ To ne znači, dodao je, da mi isključujemo SDP. Ne, samo ne vidimo kako takav Milanović može sudjelovati u izvršnoj vlasti.
Kada je o suradnji s HDZ-om riječ, Petrov je rekao da ne vidi načina suradnje s ljudima koji su opozvali Vladu i kako im onda dalje vjerovati. Dolazak novog čovjeka na čelo stranke, ne znači i njenu dublju promjenu.
O presudi Perkoviću i Mustaču, Petrov je rekao:
„ Ovakvu sam presudu očekivao a ona ukazuje da su autori „lex Perkovića“ vrlo dobro znali što bi ga tamo moglo čekati i bili su spremni na sve kako bi to spriječili. Ja vidim da u skoro vrijeme možemo očekivati nervozu u redovima tih grupacija, zato što postoji strah da Perković i Mustač progovore o načinima njihova funkcioniranja.
