Policijska uprava karlovačka obilježila je Dan policije i blagdan sv. Mihaela, zaštitnika policije.

Polaganjem vijenaca pred centralnim križem na gradskom groblju Jamadol u Karlovcu, koncelebriranom Svetom misom u crkvi Presvetog Srca Isusovog u Karlovcu i prigodnim programom u prostorijama Policijske uprave karlovačke, jučer, 28. rujna, obilježen je Dan policije.

Prigodnoj proslavi u prostorijama Policijske uprave karlovačke nazočili su brojni uzvanici, članovi obitelji poginulih i nestalih policijskih službenika Policijske uprave karlovačke, zapovjednik Hrvatske kopnene vojske, županica Karlovačke županije te predstavnici gradova Karlovca, Ogulina, Ozlja i Slunja, dosadašnji načelnici Policijske uprave karlovačke, kao i djelatnici policije.

U prigodnom govoru načelnik Car je istaknuo: „Policija je veliki sustav, počiva na čvrstim temeljima koje su nam ostavili naši branitelji, a generacije koje dolaze nastavljaju danonoćno provoditi zakone, štiti i služiti svima vama. Pred svima nama u ova teška i izazovna vremena brojni su i zahtjevni poslovi. Trudit ćemo se izvršiti sve naše zadaće s ciljem povećanja sigurnosti naših građana. Osjećaj sigurnosti građana više nam govori od bilo kakve statistike, koja je usput rečeno na visokom nivou. Zahvalni smo institucijama i pojedincima koji nas podržavaju, onima s kojima surađujemo i onima s kojima dijelimo poslovne zajedničke interese.“

Prisutnima se obratila županica Karlovačke županije Martina Furdek-Hajdin i gradonačelnik Grada Karlovca Damir Mandić koji su čestitali Dan hrvatske policije te uputili riječi hvale za dosadašnju suradnju.
