Uz tvrtku Bjelin, koja će kroz investiciju od milijardu kuna otvoriti nove pogone i u njima čak 600 radnih mjesta, interes za investiranje i otvaranje proizvodnih pogona u Ogulinu iskazalo je još nekoliko velikih tvrtki, pa je na području Ogulina ponestalo raspoloživog zemljišta za ulaganje. Gradonačelnik Ogulina Dalibor Domitrović i predsjednik Uprave tvrtke Bjelin d.o.o. Stjepan Vojinić su prošli tjedan u prostorijama Poduzetničke zone Ogulin potpisali ugovor o kupoprodaji još jednog velikog dijela zemljišta u Poduzetničkoj zoni Ogulin.
Podsjetimo, tvrtka Bjelin već danas posluje u Bjelovaru i Ogulinu gdje zapošljava ukupno 602 djelatnika. U Ogulinu zapošljava 350 djelatnika, i to u staroj poslovnoj zoni gdje su poslovali bivši DIP-ovi. Ondje proizvode troslojni parket, brikete i hrastove i jasenove lamele.

Osim nje tu su tvrtka Semmelrock Stein+design d.o.o. koja širi postojeće proizvodne pogone, zatim tvrtka Montera d.o.o. koja gradi pogon za proizvodnju pocinčane pletene mreže i druge opreme za zaštitu pokosa, a ove godine namjerava pokrenuti proizvodnju, tvrtka Reneteh d.o.o. koja se bavi proizvodnjom električne i toplinske energije i također ove godine namjerava krenuti u probnu proizvodnju te tvrtka Otočki vrtovi d.o.o. koja će investirati u pogon za preradu drveta, proizvodnju peleta i drugih proizvoda od drveta. Uz navedene tvrtke interes su iskazale i druge, zbog čega je na području Ogulina ponestalo zemljišta za ulaganje.
Kao što je već rečeno, stara poslovna zona je u potpunosti popunjena, a u novoj od ukupno 90 hektara zemljišta preostalo je slobodnih nešto više od 4 hektara, a i oni su već rezervirani. Zbog toga je posljednjim, III. izmjenama prostornog plana grada Ogulina površna poslovne zone povećana za dodatnih 40 hektara zemljišta u vlasništvu Republike Hrvatske kojeg Grad Ogulin namjerava zatražiti da se preda njemu u vlasništvo kako bi se stavilo na raspolaganje novim investitorima koji će otvarati nova radna mjesta.
'Potreba za novim radnim mjestima pojavit će se i kod postojećih lokalnih tvrtki i obrta koji su logistika velikim investitorima. Primjerice, temeljem projekcija, kad navedene investicije budu realizirane, promet na području Ogulina će se povećati za oko 500 teretnih vozila dnevno. To znači da će trebati više vozača, čega su pojedini lokalni autoprijevoznici već svjesni i zbog čega su tražili od Grada da se u obrazovni program Pučkog otvorenog učilišta uvede školovanje za vozače, da se uvede subvencioniranje školovanja vozača, a sve kako bi se na tržištu rada osiguralo dovoljno vozača kojih trenutno nedostaje.
