TJEDAN KOŠARKE IV. ZIMSKO PRVENSTVO ZAGREBA.
Dok jos nismo nastupali u službenim natjecanjima, jer se sve svodilo na razne turnire ili nekakve sletove, imali smo privilegiju sudjelovali na Zimskom prvenstvu Zagreba.
Na tom prvenstvu KK „Jedinstvo“ bilo je jedini klub izvan današnje metropole. Najbolji nismo mogli biti jer je bili još mlada ekipa a nastupili smo i nekompletni. Tada je u Zagrebu daleko iznad nas bila Lokomotiva, današnja Cibona, sa dva reprezentativca Jugoslavije – Petričevićem i Kovačićem. Ali smo zato od novinara proglašeni za najsimpatičniju momčad. A i publiku smo dobro zabavljali. Kad nas je u jednoj tekmi Lokomotiva stisnula da nismo mogli ni disati, mi bi krenuli u napad, i kao nešto najnormalnije, u nemogućnosti da zabijemo na glavni, zabili bi na pomoćni koš sa strane, i mirno se, kao da je to najnormalnija stvar, vratili u svoju polovicu igrališta. Publika se valjala od smijeha.
Nešto me je na toj tekmi baš išlo. Par puta sam izfintirao reprezentativca Kovačića, i sakrio mu loptu na opće veselje publike, a on mi je na kraju, na što me je podsjetio Toco, (dr. A. Stipetić), jer ja imam slabo pamćenje, dobacio:
„ Zabio si Lokomotivi 30 koševa. Mali, da si malo ozbiljniji, bio bi veliki igrač“. A ta ozbiljnost bila je zapravo naš glavni problem. Jer mi smo toliko voljeli košarku, da nismo košarku igrali, nego smo se - igrali košarke.
Sa Zimskog prvenstva Zagreba imam samo ovu fotkicu.
