Jopet, ni ove godine, ni mačkar. Grom pukal va nji, pa kadi su. Ni ji, pa ni. Tuj meni ništo smrdi. Pa vavik smo, još prije Franje
Josipa, imali mačkare. I dok je kralj Aleksandar bil, dok je bil Pavelić. Pa dok je bil Tito. Vavik smo imali mačkare. A zač sad nimamo. Otem sam gruntal ovi dani, kaj i pred par godin. I niš pametno nis zgruntal. A veljača skoro došla dopol, pa mislim da bi ku kiticu o maškara jopet trebal napisat. A kaj se vrapca mučit. Kaj bi napisal. Niš. Zato zemem ono kaj sam prvlje pisal, malkoca dopunim, ništo zbrišem, ništo dodam, kaj sada velidu - recikliram. I udrem naslov kaj ovi na televiziji – REPRIZA.
"Sve, sve je isto ko pre", rekli bi braća Srbi. Povijest se ponavlja. Kako u velikim stvarima, tako i u malim. Kao što su to recimo, maškare. Zašto ih u Ogulinu nemamo. Valja pričicu o tome ponoviti s vremena na vrijeme. Što i činim ovom prigodom.
Vlast se mijenja, ali odnos prema maškarama u Oguliu, ostaje isti. Ma bilo tko vladao ovim gradom, na maškare ne gleda sa simpatijama. Jer znaju, ljudi moji, baš biti zajebane. I izazvati kod nekoga duševnu bol. Koju si ne može nikako naplatiti.
Dok je cijela Hrvatska u karnevalskom ozračju, Ogulin kao da je u nekom drugom svijetu. A grad nam je godinama tijekom veljače, čak i u ono doba “mraka”, bio mjesto zabave, veselja, razuzdane radosti i oštre društvene kritike.
Vrijeme maškara bilo je vrijeme kada smo se slobodno mogli narugati sebi i drugima, kako bi kroz satiru, šalu, smijeh i zabavu, pročišćeni dočekali novo proljeće. Generacijama Ogulinaca, sada već pod teretom prohujalih godina, još su u živom sjećanju nekadašnje karnevalske povorke, kada se je, pred današnjim hotelom Frankopan, na sadašnjem Trgu hrvatskih rodoljuba, znalo okupiti nekoliko tisuća građana, kako bi nazočili čitanju optužnice Imbri i njegovu spaljivanju. Program je tada vodio Zlatko Dujmović, iznimno duhovit čovjek, otac poznatog novinara, Tihomira Dujmovića.
Za ono vrijeme, u maškarama skoro pa da nije bilo zabranjenih tema. Gotovo za ne povjerovati, obzirom da to doba nazivamo «mračnom mračinom». I moja malenkost dugo je vodila karnevalske povorke, i nikada, ama baš nikada nije bilo nikakvih pritisaka vezanih za sadržaj i poruke, što su ih lansirale duhovite maškare.
U tom “mraku”, u maškarama gotovo nije bilo zabranjenih tema. Naravno, s Titom, NOB-om i dragom nam Partijom, nije se moglo baš previše zajebavti. Što je sigurno, sigurno je. Ali su zato “lokalne veličine” redovito bile na meti i oštrih i duhovitih kritika maskiranih pojedinaca ili grupa. Ljutili se vjerojatno jesu, kiselo se smijali, grizli se u sebi, pokušavali zabraniti ali –zabranili nisu. Niti jedan jedini put.
Tradicija je nastavljena i kada je „upaljeno svijetlo“. Opet su se tisuće Ogulinaca radovale i smijale, zajedno s mnogobrojnim maskama. Iznimno duhovita optužnica, koju je pisao legendarni Iva Mihaljević – Barak, izazivala je salve smijeha. I poneki gorak osmijeh.
I onda je Ogulin, u državi koju smo dugo sanjali kao svoju, kao državu toliko željene demokracije i slobode, malo po malo, valjda jedini u Hrvatskoj, ugasio jednu iznimno dugu narodnu tradiciju. Ogulinske maškare – popapala maca. Zašto?
Razlog zbog čega su maškare u Ogulinu došle na crnu listu je taj, što su ih neka gospoda, pokušala staviti pod svoj politički patronat. Po uzoru na drugove, koji su to pokušali učiniti daleke 71. godine. Tada su Lomošćani, kao glavni organizatori rekli:
"Jebite se". I napravili maškare samo za sebe. Do mosta, i ni pedalj dalje prema gradu.
Taj štos zabrane kod Ogulinaca, niti je palio onda, u mraku, a niti pali sada kada je netko, jebo ga ja, upalio svjetlo.
Naime, kada su pred 20-ak i možda više godina, po mjesnim odborima, od gradske vlasti HDZ-a lagano plasirane “preporuke” što bi, a što ne bi trebalo biti u karnevalskoj povorci, zajebani Ogulinci odgovorili su totalnim bojkotom. Organizatori ( Turistička zajednica) koji svojim političkim tutorima nisu mogli reći ne, odjednom su se našli u neobranom grožđu. Ni krivi ni dužni. Nedodirljivi ogulinski politički milje pokušao je maškarama manipulirati, “uljuditi” ih po svojoj mjeri i otupiti oštricu njihove satire. E, neće ići, rekoše Ogulinci i od tada, grad pod Klekom nema svojih tradicionalnih maškara. Ni u talonu. Doduše, da budem pošten, moram priznati da se ogulinske maškare ipak pojavljuju. Možete ih vidjeti kako organizirano odlaze na feštu u Samobor, ( već najavljeno u Večernjaku ), na karnevale u Opatiji, Rijeci ili Novom Vinodolskom. Svuda. Samo ih u Ogulinu nema. Valjda su toliko “opasne” da su našoj društveno – političkoj kamarili, sada SDP u gradu vlada, utjerale strah u kosti. Za to sigurno imaju puno razloga. Jer kao oni stari, i sadašnji lokalni političari, a naravno još više oni na državnoj razini, pripremili su nam toliko štofa, za maštovite maškare toliko divnih ideja, da bi se njihovim bedastoćama i stupidnostima, mogle ispuniti tisuće maškaranih povorki. I onaj karneval u Riju bio bi premalen za sve ogulinske “bisere“”.
Možemo si samo zamisliti, kako bi danas u ogulinskoj karnevalskoj povorci prošli neki trenutni vlastodršci. Da ih poimenice ne spominjem. Omina sunt odiosa.
Ne treba biti posebno pametan i zamisliti kakvu bi porciju kritike kroz maske, pokupili gradski čelnici zbog svoje bahatosti, svojih nemoralnih postupaka, zbog svega što su učinili ili propustili učiniti za svoj grad. A vjerujem da bi i oporba potpuno zasluženo dobila svoj dio „špota“. Zamislite što bi im sve priredile “zlonamjerne i zločeste“ maškare. A da se to ne bi dogodilo, oni sve putem svojih trabanata, drže pod kontrolom. Strogom. Rigoroznom. Sve dok jednoga dana ljudima ne dođe iz guzice u glavu, i sami se organiziraju. Kao što to redovito rede u okolici – Oštarijama, Josipdolu, Tounju. Eee, to bi već moglo biti nezgodno. Ali Bože dragi, pa nećete valjda dobri ljudi, svojim omiljenim političarima nekakvu maškaranu glupost učiniti. Njima koji su toliko dali za vas. A posebno za sebe. No no, budimo dobri. Svi smo mi ipak samo sudionici jednog velikog životnog karnevala. Svi smo mi samo maškare.

U utorak, 13. veljače, kreću u 15,30 od Prve osnovne škole kroz grad, do Trga Petra Stipetića. A tamo – glazba, ples, krafne a za najbolje maske i nagrade.
